Since December 2010, UDC-CC has inducted 162 students into Beta Sigma Upsilon, its chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor society. To be eligible to join the honor society, students must have obtained 12 credits at either UDC or UDC-CC and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. It achieves this by recognizing and encouraging academic achievement of two-year college students and providing opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

March 23, 2012 - All UDC-CC/UDC students are invited to kick off spring break with a party hosted by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society! The party will be on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm in the first floor multi-purpose room at 801 N. Capitol Street. There will be a DJ, open mic, and free food! A student ID card is required for entry. Students, please contact Connie Souder at csouder@udc.edu or 202.274.6267 to sign up to perform at the open mic.

We're putting together a team for the Servathon 2012. It is the largest day of service in Washington DC held every year, whereby nearly 10,000 people unite in service to schools, nonprofits, libraries, and recreation centers by painting, planting, or building. You will play a part in making the region a better and brighter place.
As a Phi Theta Kappa member your entry into our team is FREE, and you do not have to pay the $25 registration fee (that covers supplies). Sign up HERE to help the community!
